A Long Overdue Update

We have had so much going on in the Musselman household lately. I keep hoping for a break, but know that it probably won't come until sometime next year. Oh, well! It's good to keep me on my toes, right?

Our BIG news is that Luke accepted a new job about a month ago. Avery and I couldn't be more proud of him. Although he had to leave Cannondale, he still gets to work in the bike business that he knows and loves. His new job is with a company called HB Performance Systems. He works for the Hayes Bicycle Group division of the company as the OEM/Distributor Account Manager. This new job will require about the same amount of travel as his previous job, but the trips will generally be longer. He will even get to travel internationally a few times a year. In fact, he has a trip to Taiwan scheduled four days after my scheduled induction date for baby 2. (We scheduled an induction the day after my due date.)

Luke started his new job two weeks ago, but the last month has been crazy busy around here. He spent his last two weeks at Cannondale frantically trying to visit all of his accounts and wrap up any pressing business. I joked that it was the hardest he worked in all of his time at Cannondale. Luke spent the last two weeks at his new home office in Milwaukee, WI. Avery and I missed him a lot. Luke will now be home for two weeks and then traveling for the following two weeks. It's going to be a tough transition, but the new job is a great opportunity for both Luke and the family as a whole.

Avery is doing fantastic. I will post an update dedicated to Avery within the next few days.

Baby two is also doing well. As my doctor reminded me at my last visit, I am a lot bigger this time around. I guess I actually need to invest in a few maternity items for this pregnancy. Hopefully we will have time to do some shopping either in St. Louis next weekend or Minneapolis the following weekend. Unfortunately, Columbia is lacking in the maternity clothing department. As of the beginning of my third trimester, I have gained about ten pounds and have grown out of almost all of my pre pregnancy clothes. Maybe one day I will take and post a bump picture.
