Six Months

Where has time gone? Tomorrow, Logan will be six months old. Selfishly, I am having trouble with this milestone. I keep thinking about how Logan is likely our last baby and I can't help but want time to slow down. I love and cherish every second I get to spend with my sweet little man. He truly completes our family.

Logan had his six month well child check last Friday. At the appointment, he weighed 13 lbs, 8 oz (5%) and measured 25" (5-10%). I guess we shouldn't expect to pay for Logan's college education with a basketball scholarship?

At six months, Logan:

• has no teeth.


• rolls all over the place to get what he wants.


• loves sucking his thumb and chewing on everything.


• is very verbal. He likes to squeal, growl and laugh.


• has developed separation anxiety.


• LOVES attention.


• wakes up once a night.


• eats peas, sweet potatoes, butternut squash and lima beans.


• LOVES his big sister more than anyone.

Today, Logan had tubes put in his ears. After five ear infections in less than six months, his pediatrician insisted. Logan did a great job with the surgery and seems to be back to his usual happy baby. He charmed all of the nurses as well as the anesthesiologist and made his mama very proud.
